menace to the city's safety. You have at your disposal any resources you 
might need to return to the gnolls' campsite and ensure that this 
situation is dealt with once and for all. I forwarded your report to His 
  Grace the Sithire as soon as it crossed my desk, and it seems that he 
wasted no time in passing along word to our sovereign the King. His 
Majesty in his magnanimity has arranged a most generous compensation for 
all those involved in this situation, which far exceeds any reward that 
would have been in my power to give.

Should you wish to continue your service in the Royal Guard, you will 
receive a promotion to the rank of Sergeant for your actions, along with 
a Champion of the Realm commendation and the 100 crown purse that 
accompanies the award. Should you wish to retire and move north to your
