[Royal Guard] Conspiracy Case / Darknesse arrested & released

On the evening of [01/08/2009], I was at the Guardhouse working on updating our fugitive sketches as part of my collateral duty when I received a message from the front deskman.  A scroll, sent to the Guardhouse by owl, revealed itself to be from Spell-Corporal Odion Tsekani.

In reading it, the Corporal denoted having listened in on a conversation had between Andramar Hellfire and [description of Darknesse].  The conversation regarded a plot that they were discussing which pertained to a Natrias Hellfire.  According to their conversation, the plan was for [Darknesse] to lure me, specifically, into seeking out and arresting Natrias while [Darknesse] stole something of his, an artifact, in his absense.

What caught my attention immediately was the fact that the Corporal denoted [Darknesse] as being a Menxrukian, which piggy backs an incident I was informed of prior that involved another follower of the dark faith who tried to falsely implicate me in an abuse of power crime to several crown officials.

Fearing these were connected and that perhaps this conspiracy case had broader objectives regarding my person (since both instances refered to me by name) or even the Crown, I immediately arrived at the Black Dragon Inn to accompany the Corporal.  Once I identified one of the individuals with him, I asked him to assist me in making the arrest.  Without incident, I placed [Darknesse] under arrest for conspiracy to commit theft and conspiracy to kidnap.

After bringing her back to the Guardhouse, she was thoroughly interviewed by myself and the Corporal on a number of topics.  She was found not to be Menxrukian and was not associated/involved with a woman known as Zaida, who had specifically levied false charges of abuse against me, by name.  She came up with numerous responses to the Corporal's questions regarding specifics about what was said between Andramar and herself.

The statements she gave were a stretch, but since I was not there to witness or hear what exactly was said in their conversation, I turned to Corporal Tsekani for his recommendations on what he thought should be done at this point.  He and I agreed to release the woman until more evidence was gathered on this case.

It should be noted to all members of the Royal Guard that Natrias Hellfire is not a fugitive and is not currently wanted for any crime.  Information brought to the Crown's attention by either Andran or [Darknesse] implicating Natrias in a crime should be approached with extreme skeptism.  If the claim is legitimate, neither of these two are to be present durring or after the arrest of said individual.
