The following report is of an incident that took place on 06 Morning
Star, 467

The morning after the date in question, I was approached on my patrol by
one Jinnai Halfmoor, an old acquaintance of many Guardsmen, though he
seems to have come under the impression of late that he's some sort of
Knight of a country nobody's ever heard of.

Halfmoor was quite irate, in that he had been in a tussle with a demon
the previous day and had been ensorcelled against his will. He had only
just recently recovered and immediately took to track down the Guard,
finding my partner and I on our rounds.

According to Halfmoor's account, the previous night at the Black Dragon
Inn, he had encountered a strange child obviously possessed by some sort
of demonic influence. The child, barely past his second year, was
covered in arcane and mysterious tattoos, was distorted in face and
feature, and spoke demonic tongues (description of Hyena). He was also
guarded by a Hellish serpent of many heads and fiery eyes.

'Sir' Halfmoor insisted on trying to aid the child, in the face of many
patrons' disinterest, and was confronted then by the Demoness in
question (description of Nala provided), who was either the possessing
spirit itself, or in league with it. The figure does indeed sound like a
demon, and by all accounts it appeared from nowhere in a burst of
brimstone and acrid smoke, floated and comported itself in a haughty
manner, and bled urine instead of blood. It bragged of feeding the child
its demonic ichor, providing it with the foul serpent, and refused to
allow the child to be brought out of the often violent tavern and to one
of the local orphanages. The demoness would not let anyone near the
child, and threatened grave consequences.

The licensed bounty hunter, stymied at all attempts to rescue the child
and flee, was forced to draw his sword and do battle with the demoness
in question, who commanded her infernal smoke in a manner of ways. In
the midst, the struggle was interrupted by a strange-acting man
(description of Michael Taylor) who inserted himself on the demon's
behalf. Described by Halfmoor as one of those 'Demon's Rights Advocates'
who are all too common in the Blkdragon District, Michael was apparently
also a master of the open palm fighting of Xiunhai-la and other eastern
lands. He attacked Halfmoor with such techniques, and was only given
pause when the Drachean was forced to draw blood to defend himself.

It was while thus engaged in battle with the interloper that Halfmoor
was ensorcelled by the Demoness' magic and sent away while she and her
human pet tended to their grave wounds.

Most of us know Halfmoor pretty well, having worked with him for a few
years. I'm inclined to believe his story. He's able to be contacted
through the usual means if any more information is needed.

By my hand,
Armsman Rews Dekton
