I have questioned Magistrate Lyon and she has admitted to fraternizing with
a vampire, Tertius Seneca. Seneca was Magistrate Lyon's son's guardian and
followed him here to Drache. Magistrate Lyon allowed Seneca to feed from her
while he was in the city. Exactly how long Seneca remained in Drache is not
yet known, but Magistrate Lyon believes he fled the city shortly after she
admonished him to leave or be destroyed.

It is my recommendation that Magistrate Lyon be suspended pending the
judgment of her peers. I am aware that you alone have the authority to hire
and dismiss the realm's magistrates, but I would ask you to allow us to
police our own in this matter and dismiss at our recommendation, and I can
say with all certainty that we will recommend Magistrate Lyon be dismissed.
Allowing the magistrates to decide Magistrate Lyon's fate as a body will
allow her the fairest possible hearing, prevent you or I from being labeled
witch hunters, and function as a Chancellery-wide cautionary tale about the
perils of involving oneself with the undead. Also, I believe this matter is
far too important to keep from my fellows; Magistrate Lyon's actions, had
they been discovered by the Royal Guard or the city's scandal sheets, would
have indicted us all.
