[Royal Guard] A note sent to the Captain of the Guard

And then, for the simple reason that rumors seem to fly like wildfire, there
is a third, though certainly delivered seperately, carefully written in
almost elegant script:

An undisclosed source has brought it to my attention that there are those
who think that certain members of the Royal Guard are too quick to use force
in aprehending would be criminals. Well, I say to this, let they that have
not sinned cast the first stone. You will find that in the Black Dragon Inn,
and in much of Drache the Guard are purposefully provoked, and it can be a
great strain on those under verbal and physical attack to maintain an always
calm appearance. However, because one loses one temper does not make one
overly violent. There are times when what an outside person may view as
excess force becomes necessary.

As guards we bare the responsibility to reduce a threat to law abiding
citizens. There are times when mere words do nothing to difuse a situation,
and it becomes necessary to use force.

In regards to inciting incidents, I will kindly inform she who has voiced
concerns that in the Black Dragon Inn, simply entering in uniform is enough
to bring violence your way. This is something I have learned all too well in
the past few months. Only someone who has not gained much experience in this
field would voice such concerns, and, if necessary, I am prepared to stand
beside any recruit, or armsman brought up on charges of excessive violence.
