24 Last Seed

I entered the Inn on the afternoon of 24, Last Seed, seeking refreshment. It 
came to my attention, that two people there (descriptions of Gatana and 
Narrac) were placing bets among themselves as to who could kill me first. I 
pretended not to hear, until one known as Narrac sent an orb of darkness at 
me, controlled by the fact of him being Drow. He attempted to surround me 
with it so that I could not see my way out.

As you know, I am myself half Drow, and for the sake of not stirring up 
problems on a day to day basis, I am in possession of a mask which grants me 
the illusion of a golden-skinned half breed, so long as the mask remains on 
my face. At this point, I was forced to remove said mask, revealing myself 
in the Inn, in order to combat the darkness that had been cast at me. I 
informed them both that if they wished to try and kill me, then by all 
means, they could take their best shot. Narrac fled the Inn, and I followed 
him outside.

After attempting to bait me, he made as if to begin an attack, and I fired 
both loaded crossbow bolts at him. One was deflected by his spinning staff, 
and the other merely grazed his arm. I could not be sure which bolt hit him, 
so I am unable to say if it was the poisoned one or not. My partner then 
surrounded him with a swarm of mosquitoes. Narrac, after seeing that he 
could not stand up to my partner and I together, turned and fled into the 
forest reserve. We did not pursue him, as it is almost certain that he would 
encounter one of the wererats or various other nasties in the forest. At 
that time, I mounted up and resumed my patrols. We did not see further of 
him, and I am thinking he fled underground, as Drow are known to do.

I should mention that shortly before I followed him outside, anhother 
Armsman, Thorn Brightblade, was also on the scene, and he took up arms 
against the other one, known as Gatana. As bounties have been placed on both 
of their heads, rest assured that the next time I encounter either of them, 
they will have the same fate as Crane.
