At the time of the Fifth Descending Bell I was returning to the Guardhouse to turn in my uniform for the night, my
patrol concluded. I heard the sound of an approaching coach. By the time I had turned around, Elapidae had been
thrown from the vehicle. She sustained several injuries, including the severance of three snake heads, a Menxrukian
sigil burned into her wrist, two broken arms, and a stab wound to the lower back.

Elapidae had been approached by a woman claiming to be a member of the Border Watch <<insert really vague
description of Lima Ziehr, mostly limited to the words 'human' and woman'>>. The woman had placed Elapidae under
arrest and taken her into the coach, where it is assumed Elapidae sustained her injuries. The cloth used to knock
her unconscious and the knife used to stab her have been placed in safe keeping in the Guardhouse.

The suspect, while arresting Elapidae, got the help of one Arms-Recruit Kelaria Stormwave to restrain one of
Elapidae's companions, Urs Medved <<insert description>>. Arms-Recruit Stormwave failed to get a name of the 
supposed arresting officer. Arms-Recruit Stormwave also failed to ask for any form of identification, warrant, or 
other certification, which could have prevented the false arrest from happening.

I have instructed Arms-Recruit Stormwave to submit a full report as well as the dictation for Elapidae's report, as
Elapidae cannot yet write.

While on patrol this evening I stepped into the Black Dragon Inn to take a
momentary break and assure that all was well within the inn itself. Upon
entering I observed a woman who, for all intents and purposes appeared to be
a member of the Border Watch. (A full description of Lima Liehr follows). At
the time Tespin Elapidae was neither struggling nor voicing any form of
argument. It was requested that I keep her companion (a full description of
Urs Medved follows) at the inn to reduce the risk of an outbreak. I did not
restrain him, only made a polite request that the "Border Watch" be allowed
to complete her job. The woman did present a warrant, though I, myself, did
not see it, charging, but Tespin Elapidae's companion had knowledge of the
charges, however fraudulent. By his word the Tespin was being charged with:
larceny, smuggling of dangerous goods from a foreign kingdom, and
conspiracy. I admit that I erred and I stand to take responsibility for
Tespin Elapidae's injuries. In my desire to keep the peace I failed to do
just that. I do but request that any forthcoming disciplinary actions wait
until after the apprehension of the persons responsible for this attack.
Upon a later conversation with Lieutenant Sarault she expressed concerns
that the actions taken against Tespin Elapidae might have been out of
retaliation for the Tespin bringing a prominent member of the Menxrukian
cult to justice, resulting in exile of the person, I am inclined to agree
with that concern.

Tespin Elapidae is still learning to speak our language, as well and read
and write it, currently she cannot write at all and read only a little. As
such, I took her verbal report and am recording it here.

Unfortunately she recalls very little of the attack. She claims that she
blacked out prior to the attack, but that she smelled very strong, "bad
chemicals" shortly before. It is my belief that her attackers used ether to
subdue her and prevent the tespin from resisting or using her stone gaze on
them. Like myself, she would recognize the woman's scent, but not much else
other than that. I arranged for a healer to tend to her wounds and as of the
submission of this report she is resting comfortably at the Guardhouse until
she has recovered enough to make the trip home.

Knowing the fact that my arse feels like its is on fire and I'm ready to quit my
position as Arms-Corporaxxxxx

 

Please be advised that thanks to some bloody stupid demon deciding to snot-blot its
guts all over my person four days ago within the Black Dragon Inn, resulting in my
head feeling like its ready to explode like a Menxruxian claypot convention and my
stomach ready to crawl out the back of my rear end, I am currently unable to be on
watch for my assigned duties by the Red Lantern and Wharf Districts until the end of
the week.

 

I was tended to by a healers at the inn, three healers outside the inn and another
lot of four bloody other healers at the Wharf Garrison, and although they have
cleared the wounds and toxins the demon left, the infection still needs to recover
naturally.

 

In other words, I have a bucket beside my straw bedding that is full of interesting
and colourful things, and will be until my stomach decides to stop bringing back all
the not-so-wonderful things the healers keep force-feeding me.

 

I'll endeavour to have a report to you on this incident when I can write more than a
few sentences neatly.

Subject: [Royal Guard] Investigation into a residence fire/explosion

Following up on a lead into the case of a reported house having caught on fire and exploded in the Wharf district, I managed to locate the identified home-owner, known as Isaacs (description follows).? When I pulled him aside to interview him over the matter, he appeared to be extremely stand-offish.? I had to threaten legal action numerous times just to get a statement out of him.

>From reports, the home he was staying at evidently caught on fire several weeks ago, then culminated in a large explosion that caused reasonable damage to surrounding properties as well as inflicting injury amongst neighboring residents.

Isaacs noted that he was not the home owner and that the residence belonged to a young boy who'd gone missing for over a year.? He did acknowledge that he'd been staying there without elaborating on his connection to the boy or why he assumed sudden ownership after his disappearance.? Isaacs was also unable to provide any information regarding who might want to set his residence ablaze and was not present at the time that it happened.

Upon visiting the ruins of the home, I failed to find anything that could be submitted as evidence in the case.? However, I did interview several of his neighbors to discover unanimous accounts that he'd been reclusive and anti-social within the community.? It was also noted that he often brought numerous women home, suspected of being prostitutes.? One boy even claimed that Isaacs was well rumored to have been a mass murderer of children and ate their remains.

There is no evident explanation of why the residence exploded as a result of the fire.

While the investigation is on-going, all members of the Royal Guard on duty in either the BlkDragon District or Wharf District are advised to keep a watchful eye on this individual.? If present, be cognizant  for remarks made about alchemy or acquiring odd substances and mixtures.? The explosion at his residence may have been caused by such materials.? It is also very possible he may have murdered the child who previously lived in the dwelling, though bones or human remains were not found amongst the ashes.? He has already been reprimanded for use of unreasonable force against a young, female thief who attempted to take his food.? If he is identified harassing children, talking with younger males or females, it should be noted to your superiors, either a Sergeant or Lieutenant.

It is also advised not to make case-related arrests unless he is clearly committing a crime.

Subject: [Royal Guard] Guard targeted again by Menxruk cultist

On the night of [09/25/09], I was at the Black Dragon Inn while off duty to meet with someone.? It was during my time of leisure that an individual [description of Aladar] suddenly stood about and began to recite religious diatribe about Menxruk.

Initially I became rather alarmed by the outburst, but offered the benefit of the doubt until an explosive, alchemical device was hurled at my table.? The device impacted and caused a subsequent explosion that caused much localized injury to myself and to other patrons within proximity of the table I was seated at.? It appeared that the cultist targeted me, likely for my involvement with government or for case-related purposes in investigating the recent Menxruk-related incidents.

Upon sustaining my own injuries incurred from the explosion, I struggled to make my way out, with the aid of others, to include the Medusa recently maimed by a Menxrukian follower.? It was outside that I retrieved a crossbow and entered back into the Inn with the help of Elapidae to attempt and quell the individual who was responsible for the mayhem.? Fortunately, that job had already been performed by Heldenbrand, who had cultist at knife-point by the time I returned.

As such, I attempted to question the individual briefly about his affiliations with specific groups and cells that were active in Drache.? He failed to respond and I felt myself on the brink of consciousness so I postponed my questioning and had Elapidae assist in detaining the individual to be taken to the Guardhouse from there.

In writing this report, it should be noted that in the past five months, this is the second attack involving Menxruk-associated attacks on members of the Royal Guard with alchemical devices.? The first was exacted on Armsman Lathos, of which the details can be found in his report from [06/09/09].? It is believed that there may be a dangerous trend emerging from these incidents.? A concerning trend of increased activity amongst Menxrukian cultists.

Increased vigilance is advised to all members of the Guard over the next few months.? Signs or spoken word regarding dedication to Menxruk should be questioned immediately.

As of this report, [Aladar] is being charged with attempted murder of a Crown official, assault on citizen (manslaughter), and public endangerment.? He will be questioned at a later date regarding this incident and his own personal affiliations.
