She'd spent much of her time recanting a story of a cultist woman she'd had a violent run-in with the night prior.? The conversation ultimately led to her explaining that it was not only a follower of Menxruk, but the same cultist that falsely accused me of assault upon her person to a magistrate. Elapidae was trying to get me to arrest the woman, but I explained it would be a clear conflict of interest for me to just issue one based on only her statements, given that this woman had previously drawn me into a libel case before.? So the medusa rounded up several witnesses (description of Lonit and Krin`Shadows) and had them give me statements, each of which collaborated her own. They all explained that this woman (description of Zaida`Moor) approached [Lonit] and without much warning, struck her with a punch to her stomach.? After a short struggle, [Lonit] managed to get away from the cultist, only to have [Krin`Shadows] attempt and restrain the follower of Menxruk.? When this failed, Elapidae tackled [Zaida`Moor] and broke her arm.? The cultist proceeded to make several threats about the Inn and evidently left. The jab to the stomach, in all three counts, was unprovoked.? As such, [description of Zaida`Moore] is being charged with one count of assault. What I immediately found was a blood trail leading up to one of the rooms upstairs.? I proceeded to follow the trail and forcibly entered the room to which the blood led to.? What I found inside was Elapidae on the floor with numerous bandaged wounds to her midsection.? Having warned her on the subject before of of inciting a panic for leaving blood everywhere from a deer carcass, I stepped in and took her into custody. What was found at the scene was an arrow, no doubt one she had plucked from her side.? After taking her into custody as a suspect, Elapidae was seen by the healers, who tended to her wounds.? However, she had lost much blood and took some time to recover.? While still being held in custody, I returned to the Inn to retrieve the arrow as evidence. Stepping back inside of the establishment, one of the first things I saw was a girl by the name of Beros.? The girl matched the description of a suspected demon noted two months ago in Corporal Ratholta's report.? I approached her and offered to do a holy water test on her.? She remained rather reluctant about it's implementation and consulted with her companion at the time [description of Shy].? After some discussion, it became clear that she did not want to have the holy water test performed on her because she was, "Of demon blood." With such being taken as an admission, I took the girl into custody and escorted her back to the Guardhouse to be evaluated by a Crown Official who is properly certified in determining how much demon blood she possesses, if any. But as such, Beros is currently being held on the suspicion of being a demon. As for Elapidae, I later recovered the arrow and deemed her not to be a flight risk.? As such, I ordered her to be released when her condition was stable but to remain local and not to engage in any of her amateur bounty hunting activities until I have a chance to question her more on the incident. The first count of assault was levied against a smaller, unidentified individual and the second against Elapidae. Elapidae, the primary witness in this case, has confided in me that this perpetrator was in the Back Alley, apparently cornering the smaller man and noting that he owed him "money for protection."? The smaller individual was then struck before Elapidae intervened and was subsequently shot with a crossbow.? The bolt recovered in her room collaborates this. As of now, [Geise] is being charged with one count of extortion and two counts of assault.
