He further informed us that the mother had plans to sell her young daughter, of six years, into sexual slavery. We arrived upon the scene to witness an attack from a patron, Eoa Dragonkin, upon Marella in the form of a slap. We then heard conflicting stories from patrons (Ikara, Eoa, and the one-legged man who vanished from the scene) and the mother on what had occured. The patrons insisted Marella was (and may have already) sold her child into some form of sexual slavery; Marella attested that a patron was trying to steal her child for a church cult. Considering the best interests of the child, we decided to take the child Justice to the guardhouse until we could assert whether or not the child was in danger from a church cult, or from being sold into slavery. We invited all parties involved to make statements within the guardhouse regarding this issue, to avoid drama and public spectacle. We here submit the testimonies of Marella, Ikara and Eoa. --- Marella (mother of child) "Well I came in the Inn as usual..I got a bad behaved child..so i come to eat..and drink.. My daughter sits ont he floor because she isnt tall to sit..I sit down start to have fun and then the cripple comes over and asks about church and a progrem for kids. My lover tells him we dont need no church and that the girl isnt behaved enough for that. So this wench gets her nose in it then and she keeps asking me questions. A boy comes near asks to play with my daought for his dad wants to pay people to play with him. He looks like a brat too..so i say- okay. She goes to play i drink more..then you show up. I get slapped..end of story." Ikara Verenest When her turn comes up, the cleric describes the threatened beatings, givinbg the girl a dirty, muddied used glass (from who-knows-which patron), abandoning her, the whippings and threats, and all of the "She works on her back" or "little tart!" sayings. Including the "She gives us money on her back" part, and charging people money to "play" with her. Eoa Dragonkin *verifies everything that Ikara reports* --- After these statements were given, I spoke to all three witnesses. From this I determined that there was no evidence for any of their wild claims, and that the event was the product of hysteria - the church cult was identified as the Royal Church's charity programs and the child slavery accusations were made on the basis of a throw away comment by Justice's drunk mother. The child was returned to her mother, who was cautioned about such comments in public, as they could easily be misinterpreted as a declaration of slavery connections. Eoa Dragonkin was warned about slapping Marella. In short, our time was wasted, but a fight averted. The rest of our patrol was uneventful. After asking why the child insisted that he 'slept with fishes' Marella then assaulted the child and claimed to all within the inn that the father was indeed dead and that she and a man named Rueben had killed him.She also stat4eed that the body had been dumped in the river. I have arrested Marella for assault and possibly for murder as well. I leave it to the Magistrates to determine the truth of whether a murder has occurred or not. This child was attacked by an unknown assailant, but survived. Somehow, she managed to make her way into the Black Dragon Inn after this attack, at which point the healers were called and she was given emergency treatment. Currently, she is checked into the healer's lodge, under the care of Healer Eve Seele. I've checked with Healer Seele, and have attached a detailed description of the child's wounds, which were severe. The report was made by a concerned patron who came to report the attack to the guardhouse--Deis and Zynn Nika. Apparently this child, Justice, was the subject of some earlier reports, which describe the probable death of her father, and the subsequent arrest of her mother. As the child is without a guardian, Zynn and Deis have offered to take the child in until a more suitable guardian can be found. However other pressing matters are my reason for filing this report. I have held off on writing this report as I had hoped to have a second encounter with the creature now identified as Savari. A few afternoons ago there was a disturbance in the Blk Dragon Inn involving one Selestia (brief description follows) and a vampire by the name of Savari (lengthy description and artist renders appended to attached page). The disturbance quickly escalated into open fighting. Neither would listen and at the time I had not the true sight to see Savari for what he was. After giving a breif chase and dispelling some kind of blood magic trap he fled out of the wall and to the ground below. By this time it was apparent what Savari was, Selestia followed through the hole and I exited out a door to meet them in the ally instead of breaking the wall any further. Outside I finally managed to get both combatants to listen to reason. Savari was confused as to why he was under attack, I explained the situation to him as calmly as could be explained and performed a divination in order to be sure. He is truely a vampire and when I explained this to him he managed to escape quite suddenly into the forest reserve. Upon further investigation I've discovered some disturbing facts. It appears as though he has acquired land and is constructing some kind of temple which can only be described as a Doom Fortress, whether within the city walls or on Arangothian soil I can't be sure. No vampire claiming to be a "Paladin of God" and building a fortress temple can be good for the city. I would like to advise extreme caution to any who may attempt apprehending or exterminating this Savari. I was summoned to the Blk Dragon Inn by a little bird. The bird happened to belong to a citizen by the name of Seryne, it could not communicate the situation however I had a good guess. Upon arriving I found Seryne sitting by herself near a wall. I approached her to ask what the situation was and she asked me to exercise the undead behind her. I could not see this undead however by casting a quick divination I could sense its presence. I cast a turn undead which banished the creature, perhaps not destroyed but it immediately left and the presence vanished. (Description of Rictor assaulting a character and sucking its blood follows). I then tended to the wounded girl, merely a child (What a surprise). No sooner had I mended her wounds but the large individual who had helped bring her over to the couch was suddenly attacked by a psychic assailant. (A detailed description of Kage_Taim follows) I quickly gathered my weapon and equipment and went to the aid of the individual I could not catch the name of (parted). I engaged the psychic in a brief fight before he suddenly vanished, it's apparent he managed to flee the scene. A word of caution for engaging this individual, he is extremely dangerous (He modes like crazy and uses instant kill attacks like psychic lame heart stop). He should not be given the oppertunity to manifest powers, or if engaged should be engaged in a pair, someone to counter his casting and someone to deal with apprehending him. Message-ID: To the Captain and members of the Guard, I was summoned to the King's Inn early in the evening by patrons who were shouting about demons, as I entered the establishment I saw a demon (Description and sketch of Varafel following) assaulting what I came to understand to be it's own master, the one who summoned him, a woman by the name of Rain (Description and sketch included). Though as soon as the demon noticed my presence it fleed through the fireplace of the inn which could serve as a possible future precaution to take upon the next encounter. Once I made sure the area was safe and clear, I sat down with Tespin Rain and she explained to me that she summoned Varafel a long time ago and that she was tricked into letting him do as he pleases. She has no care for the demon and doesn't mind seeing it banished or killed. On a side note, I warned the Tespin as to not play with demons and she retorted that she will stop summoning them the day she finds those responsible for destroying her village (Violin tabs included), it would be wise to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't summon anything else unpleasant and gets tricked once more by her own doing.
