[Royal Guard] Follow-up to complaint against Story

The following report is of an incident that took place in the early morning hours of ... [04/23/07]:

Towards the end of my patrol, I stopped into the Black Dragon Inn simply for a cup of coffee.  Upon entering, I noted the drow that was previously described in a formal complain filed with the Royal Guard.  I spoke with the drow (description of Story) in private outside of the Inn about the report.

He claims that he does not own a knife, but rather a sword that was sheathed at the time he had the altercation with the couple.  The drow also claims he never exchanged any threats, either verbally or by insinuation.  His account is that he overheard some rather insulting remarks being made about Drows, to which he responded by approaching the couple in a civil manner.  The claim is that he and they were both civil throughout the dispute.

I asked if the elf had the description of either the man or the woman that were involved in this - he claimed that he'd forgotten their faces by now since it was a week ago that this occurred.  While this is plausable, his demeanor was less than cooperative.

Due to the lack of details in the complaint filed with the Guard and the unknown identity of those who brought it against this Drow, I was not inclined to arrest or detain him any further for questioning.  

If there is any other information reguarding the couple that made the report, the identities would assist in the investigation so that more information can shed some light on weighing these two accounts.
