[Royal Guard] Arrest, trial, and punishment. Criminal at large.

On Flunhest, the twenty-third of Flunnist of the year of four hundred
seventy-six, there were two arrests made.

One Hargus Avail and Maprokz Nixelin were apprehended in the late evening
hours inside the BlkDragon Inn.  Armsman MorningStar of the BlkDragon
district Guard took with him, upon orders of Magistrate Lachlan Brewer, a
contingent of guards to said Inn to arrest one Hargus Avail.  Null-Magic
wards were set into place, as well as a Teleportation Device Re-Router,
sending all teleportation attempts to the Guardhouse itself.

Hargus Avail attempted escape, first by running up the stairs of the
BlkDragon Inn, but was halted by guards stationed there.  Once cornered, he
attempted escape a second time by teleportation and was sent directly to the
Guardhouse.  MorningStar and the rest followed quickly.

After questioning, it was gleaned that one Hargus Avail had attempted to
murder one Lieutenant Maprokz Nixelin a few nights prior to the arrest.  He
acted with an accomplice, (description of Kerin here), who attacked
Lieutenant Maprokz Nixelin upon the orders of Hargus Avail by shooting him
with a crossbow (logs available).  It was also found that Hargus Avail was
attempting to collect a "team" of thieves to form an alliance and attack a
temple with intent to rob it.  This was taken as to be the formation of a
guild and, after consultation with others of the high-ranking law, the
following conclusion and punishments were made.

Maprokz Nixelin was detained overnight for questioning, but was ultimately
released.

Hargus Avail was sentenced to seventy lashes with a bamboo cane and exiled
permanently upon the first ship out of Drache.  Should he return, he is to
be arrested on sight and executed by order of the Magistrates.

The accomplice of one Hargus Avail is still at large.  Should she be seen,
there is a reward for her.  She should be brought to the Guardhouse alive so
she may face punishment for her crimes.

There are logs available of the arrest in the inn and the ensuing trial at

Maprokz.
