From lerockeurblanc at hotmail.com Thu May 12 21:59:59 2005 From: lerockeurblanc at hotmail.com (Franky Bob) Date: Fri, 13 May 2005 02:59:59 +0000 Subject: [Royal Guard] Zug-Zug Report Message-ID: After hours in deciphering the Troll's talk, notes and drawing, a common speaking Recruit managed to write a report and file proper sketches. An evening at the Dragon proved to be information worthy for Arms-Recruit Bloodbane, according to his notes and what he has mentioned to me an insane 'mage' (Description and sketch of Melkhior) was threatening the life of another blood crying magic user (Description and sketch of Bal`xcolt) if the latter did not leave the land for a full day. Apparently the latter had to mark his friends so the former could recognize them and spare their lives amongst the rest of the people. Apparently this mage has enough 'power' to destroy the entire land and the entire 'world'. As false or true as this may be, he seems to be plotting something. The former was also mentioned as the thief of hearts, needing hearts for some hellish reason or another. Investigation is suggested, and as mad as he sounds, perhaps an arrest. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Hotmail : antivirus et antispam int?gr?s http://www.msn.fr/newhotmail/Default.asp?Ath=f From Sisko197 at triad.rr.com Thu May 26 00:10:31 2005 From: Sisko197 at triad.rr.com (db) Date: Thu, 26 May 2005 01:10:31 -0400 Subject: [Royal Guard] The Arrest of Ver and SilentStar In-Reply-To: <722da6ac05042921429d1750f@mail.gmail.com> Message-ID: <200505260510.j4Q5AJ0V001544@ms-smtp-02-eri0.southeast.rr.com> Report from Merin Bithsbane Written in Common: Subject: Ver As part of my customary duty shift in the nighttime hour, I visit the Black Dragon Inn to see if there is any trouble that needs to be dealt with. It had been unusually quiet for the last few weeks in the times that I found the time to make it to the Inn. Unfortunately, last night I discovered a man accosting three individuals, apparently one of them being the leader of the other two and a warlock at that. [Describes Karandor.] His accomplices apparently had a disagreement with a fourth individual. [Describes Ver pre-mutation.] I did not get his name before he began attacking one of the warlock's apparent servants. [Describes Angelica.] I warned the three off from breaking any laws and was insulted by the warlock for my trouble. Almost immediately, he fled the scene and took his accomplices with him through the use of shadow magic. I suggest that we keep an eye out for this warlock as he smells of darkness. But not before the creature in Cell 19b was changed by something in the sword of a woman. [Describes mutation of the creature into something black mutation running along its side.] The thing attempted to flee the scene, so I warned it that flight would prove futile. It was very insistent upon the attempt, so I cast a spell to hold it in place through the manipulation of magic. Apparently, it further mutated the creature into some kind of half-demon abomination. [Describes Ver now.] This is not a reaction I had ever seen in an individual exposed to my magic before and I do not believe it was possible for me to have anticipated it. I did, however, warn it not to flee or resist. It should be noted that the creature did not resist my attempts to arrest it after the second attempt to subdue it and furthermore went unchained to the Guardhouse. I imprison it until such time as a trial can discern its guilt. Subject: SilentStar As I was arresting the mutant, I encountered another individual that had previously been inert. Apparently, magic or perhaps it was the insults of the warlock, had caused a violent reaction in the man. He had not spoken one word to me previously, but after attempting to subdue the mutated creature with a sleep spell, I found that I had a crazed man running at me. Such violent reaction to something, even if my magic or the warlock's, led me to forego the use of further magic in lieu of a more practical approach. I knocked the man unconscious through the use of physical force, but not before he spouted several words of criticism against my race and against my power. Due to the attack of a Royal Guardsman, I have assigned him to Cell 11d and ensured it will nullify any nearby magic. It is my hope that this will contain the threat this individual poses to others until such time as a trial can discern what should be done with him. So ends the report of Guardsman Bithsbane.
