[Royal Guard] Pairing

My personal thoughts upon this whole 'pairing' matter are:
1)We are talking about 'pairing' not 'partnering'.... there is a difference
believe it or not. Pairing is a one-off (or few more-off if wanted). It isnt
saying that you and you are now partners and must act as such. I think this
has been taking the wrong way if we are suggesting that guards be
'partnered' for the duration of their guard employment.
2) As has been said many many times, this is totally voluntary, and also is
still in the 'discussion' phase... this is not something that is going to be
enforced, dont worry. There are probably loads of guard muns out their who
love their 'lone wolf' routine, and thats great, it builds character.... but
going out with another guard, if a mun so chooses, can also build character
(especially if they are new to the guards and want to know how it all works
etc). This 'pairing' can be used once or twice like a mentoring program, or
if the muns themselves want (as Tejene and Merin muns have) they can carry
it on to be more permanent. It will be a way to give people a wider choice,
they can perhaps get to roleplay with different people, people they never
knew before, make new friends... new plotlines..
I can certainly understand Igor's comment about characters not wanting to
play without their 'partners', however we arent treating this as 'partners'
these are generally going to be one-off pairings, that can develope or not
depending upon the muns.
